Unfortunately, public institutions very often work piecemeal. This is especially visible in big municipalities such as Sofia municipality, whose different units function as separate unrelated parts. Each one has its own objectives, messages, and problems. Attempts to integrate the work of these different units are very rare. And such integration is very much needed in order to build on previous efforts, unite the resources and optimize the processes. Only by integrating these aspects of governance can a big municipality as Sofia answer to growing divisions and inequalities in the city. Divisions which manifest in the economy, in the environment and in the prosperity of the people.
