For all its folkloristic frills, the rise of ultra-nationalism is an urban phenomenon, particularly visible in smaller cities. In order to better understand the strong points and the cracks within this movement, Țichindeleanu compares its ways of nesting in the provincial city from the post-socialist times to the 1930s.
Ovidiu Ţichindeleanu is a Romanian philosopher, translator, educator and culture theorist, writing on critical social theory, decolonial thought, international politics, and cultural history.
